"WAVES OF THE DANUBE"
My wife thought this would sound nice on steel, so here it is. Also known as "Oh how we Danced" by Al Jolson. No I shall not be following it up with "Sonny Boy." Cheers Dave.

Superb performance as always Dave. AND the tone of that NEW guitar you have is Par excellence'..
A little bit of plagiarism (not by you I may add but by the lyricists) is apparent if one researches the credits:- The TUNE was NOT Written by S. Chaplin/A. Jolson It's listed with the publishers (© Shapiro Bernstein / Mood Music Div ) as "Anniversary Song" But as you correct pointed out, as an instrumental it's actually "The Waves of the Danube" (Valurile Dunării;) by Jovan Ivanović Probably the MOST famous of the Romanian waltzes.
My mom played it on the Accordian.

Basil, Yes I did a bit of searching to see what I could find, and according to the site I found, the melody was apparently inspired by an old Romanian folk song, then according to this particular website the lyrics were written by Al Jolson/Saul Chaplin. A lovely number to play all the same.
I hope You and Pat have a very Happy New Year.
Cheers Dave.
