Welcome to one of my newest favorite singers. When I saw you do "You and Me and Time" on TV with your dad (can't remember the show), it brought tears to my eyes. It's amazing how much of Tammy (I still miss her a lot) shines through you when you sing. God couldn't take Tammy completely away from us, and she is being channeled through you. I wish you the best of luck. You give new hope to country music. Good luck and be sure that I will buy your album. AND, IF Jamie ever leaves, give me a call.

I guess being "FAMOUS" gets more howdy's, hello's, welcome's and nice to have you here than any other old unknown newbie on here. Usually a newbie is lucky to get 5-10 welcome's.... or even a howdy..

Georgette,

The magic words: "My favorite instrument has always been THE STEEL GUITAR." Perhaps your dad remembers doing one of his first shows as a double with Buck Owens and his band in the Troy, N.Y., Armory, circa 1962. I was there.

Welcome to the Forum, from the yankee land of northern Ohio. Keep the good country music going. Country, is the only music there is. All others is noise. Have a Happy New Year.

It is easy to play the steel guitar. Playing so that the audience finds it pleasing is the difficult act.

Welcome to the forum Georgette. Was at your Dad's place in Colsmeniel several times a lotta years ago. I started learning steel in 1944 and was out there picking in 1948 if that tells you anything. I have a picture of your Mom holding a little girl onstage at the Opry in 1975 at the 50 yr. celebration of the Opry. Could that have been you? My best, Jody.
