"You`ve Got A Friend!" Bishop R. P. Hall

Post by Bishop Ronnie P Hall »

Hi my fellow steelers, :)
Here is one of my latest efforts of single string, single note rendition, of a Carol King song made famous by her, and other artists such as, James Taylor, and many more. I hope you enjoy it.

Bishop Hall,
Beautyful playing by you, I enjoy it.
Whoever did the backing track, he put in a lot of work.

Hi Joachim, (Kettner)
Sorry I`m late in responding to your encouraging comment. But being a clergyman at this time of the year, things get a little busy.
"Six guys named Ron", is the name of my little house ensamble, meaning "I" am doing 95%, of the back up on most of my efforts. Sometimes we almost get it right! Then other times??? :? ;-) Thanks Again!

Hi Tony!, (Davis),
I`m glad to hear from you in Brisbane Australia!
My friend, I know that I`m not among the best of steel players, that display such talent, and gifts here on the forum. I just do the best I can. So every time someone listens and says that they enjoyed my efforts, I am greatful. Thank you my fellow steeler, and God bless you, and yours, during the holiday seasons.

Hi Ron, Everytime I listen to you, I'm totally amazed.
I've been trying to learn to play again since my accident
on May 12th 2007 that destroyed all of my brain cells.
I'm just trying to learn good country ballad type songs,
as I'll never be able to play fast or fancy as you do.
Keep them tunes comimg, you're truely an inspiration to me.
God Bless you, and may you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR

I'm fast becoming a Ron Hall fan. Every time you post something I end up listening to all your other postings. Great stuff, Ron. Talking about storing up treasures in Heaven, I hope you've reserved a steel guitar up there; it would be a waste to give you a harp. :D

Hi Carl! (Kilmer)
I am moved to know that guys like us, who have been given the "gift" of "challenge" by unfortunate circumstances, can yet be allowed by our God, to express our power to overcome anything, through the various talents that He has allowed us to have. In other words my brother, if "I" can do it so can "you"!
Keep up the good work, for "you too", are in my prayers. Thanks for your encouragement, and I will see, and hear you "out there" on the "forum" and the "internet". Be Blessed, my friend! ;-) :D

Hi Al! (Brookes)
Man, I am so proud to know, and pleased as well, that somebody such as yourself, and others, that would even take the time to encourage a struggling, "would be" pedal/Lap steel player like me, it is truly overwelming!
As I have said so in the past, I just try to do the best that I can. I am glad to know also that in some small way, I hope that I can encourage some of the other "challenged" players, to keep trying, and exercise their gift, that God has blessed them with also.
And as far as the "harp" goes, It`s worth a shot!
Be Blessed, my dear friend!
