I just noticed in the following video that E.T. featured two steelers in his band. What was the purpose of that and are/were there other similar bands?

Dennis, this clip was a tribute to Ernest Tubb which featured present and former Texas Troubadors. It had Lynn Owsley and Buddy Emmons on steel. Buddy was a Troubador in the early 60's. At one time, Earnest had Bobby Garrett and Buddy Emmons in the band. Bobby and Buddy sometimes played some twin steel tunes and when Earnest came out, Buddy switched to guitar. Jody.
