New Clip of the Week 11/22/09

Post by Walter Stettner »

A trip to the past this week, to 1954, to be exact. This one is probably not too hard to guess, but it is a great track in the tradition:

Enjoy the music!

Yes, it is Don Helms, but ol' Hank was already gone in 1954... :)

No trap, Bent. The sound is typical Hank and singer is Jimmie Logsdon, who was always heavily influenced by Hank. Other musicians on this track are Chet Atkins, Grady Martin, Jack Shook (guitars), Jerry Rivers (fiddle), Ernie Newton (bass) and Owen Bradley (piano).

Kind Regards, Walter
