I've had an OD-2r and a DD3 sitting in a drawer here for a couple of years and, in an effort to cut down on what I take out of the house to play with, I thought I'd hook up the DD3....
It doesn't work!
I've not tried it with a new battery yet, but I have hooked up the PSA-120T - no good! So I dug out the OD-2r and - same thing! No good.
There's no signal getting through the DD3 to the amp and the OD-2r IS allowing a path (but no effect), but in neither case can I get that little red LED-light to come on.
Two pedals gone bad at once???? Should they work with the PSA-120T but without a battery (dead OR alive) in the unit?
I'm stumped here....

I would try them with a battery. Do you know the power supply transformer is good?

Thanks, guys.
I took the battery from my TU-12 (duh!!! I forgot it was sitting right next to me!!!) and the DD3 is fine!
So - the culprit IS the PSA-120....
Time to retire those Profex units, methinks - I'm starting to really enjoy the sound of my Emmons straight into my NV-112 - a touch of digital delay is all I think I need. What battery-life can I expect in terms of hours played - any idea?
Less is more (or so my newly-acquired hernia is telling me!)

Forget the battery in a DD3. It will barely get through a gig and will lose sound quality as the night goes on. Either get another PSA 120 or use what I use, a Visual sound 1 Spot adapter where you can run one to 8 effects (with the patch cord). Very small, light, quiet and dependable.Available at any music outlet or web site.

Not sure if this is the problem, but, I've repaired several of these power supplies...
The little wires break (inside the casing sometimes), right where they meet the body of the unit.
You can take them apart (unscrew and pry apart), cut out the old wire (leave about an inch to work with!), and splice in a new cord. I used a couple inches of lamp-cord, with a pull-tie on either side of the wall-wart body to hold the new cord in place. Then attach the other ends and finish with shrink wrap. |

| It's pretty important important to power your pedals with a decent, regulated power supply like the Dunlop or a Voodoo Labs unit. It's pretty rare to get a consistent 110 volts (220 volts over here). You can really hear the difference when your delay pedal is getting its proper dietary requirements of voltage and current. |

| Roger...Some pedals require a battery be installed to function whether using the external power supply or not. You may want to try the PSA-120 a second time with the batteries. |
