I got a new digital camera, and it also does video. Put it to the test this evening playing some blues at home:

Looks like you were enjoying that....I certainly was !
Thought the Blues were supposed to be Low Down Mean...nothing to eat or drink...no reason to carry on !!!...Made me want to carry on and play a few more like that !

Hey Bob, I really enjoyed that, and your movements and
facial exepressions shows how much you enjoyed playing it.
What camera did you get, the video looks real good for a FLV file.
Would love to see more videos of your playing.

b0b that sounded great considering you did it, sound and all, with that little camera. What I don't get is there seems no way that I can get near that level of sound quality with my wife's Nikon Coolpix..the distortion is unbearable. Basically, those little camera mics are about the same quality, so there must be something that I am doing wrong ie placement, distance, volume level...
Maybe we could get a discussion going about how you manage to get a good recording with those things.

Carl, the camera is a Canon Powershot SX200 IS. I just bought it last weekend. It makes a .MOV file not a .FLV file. It can do 720p HD but I set it for 640x480.

Bent, the amp is off-camera to the left, angled towards a focal point midway between me and the camera. When I pointed it directly at the camera it was too loud. This is a small room, so I keep the volume down (Mrs. Lee disagrees  but I don't think I'm playing very loud).

The rhythm track is "Austin Skyline Shuffle" by Pete Anderson.

Great track, b0b.
Everyone should look like they're enjoying themselves that much...

Rosie sounds fantastic, too.

I don't have a poker face. I can't hide what I'm thinking or feeling at all. Just the way I am.
Rosie sounds fantastic, too.
I've never named my guitars. Wouldn't want the Mrs to get jealous. :P  That's a good name, though.

I think I'll try to do a few more, with different styles of music. The 8 string pedal steel is surprisingly versatile.

That was good b0b but look how clean and neat your house is. And you call yourself a musician?
