I read somewhere,I think it was in the Winnie Winston book that Jimmy Day had a change on his first string lowering F# to F. Apart from being able to tune the F differently to make a more in tune augmented chord with A and B pedals, has anybody got any ideas on other ways to use this change.

Allan, another way this could be used is with strings 1,2,&5 using string 5 as the root. Example, fret three with those strings will be a D chord. If you'd want to go to an E7th just add that pedal and you've got it. Another nice move is after you've done that, slide back to fret two and add the D lever lowering your second string a half tone.........JH in Va.
