Thank you for taking the time to listen, Volga is 20 min east of clarksburg, between Buckhannon & Philippi. nice to see another player from west virginia this close.

Joe, hate to be the steel police again, but the second phrase of the ascending lick is supposed to be the same notes as the first, a scale runup F#,G,A twice. The rest of it sounds all right. This is taken from Steve Palousek's recording which the melody was identical to Buddy's.

I think that's all right as I'm not at my guitar now, but that intro is kinda emblazoned in my memory from so many years. It's a great intro for other blues-type tunes also.

Joseph, I'm with John. I'd respectfully suggest that tab is incorrect. The first two notes which appear at the 10th fret in the tab should instead be:
String 4 fret 9
string 4 fret 10

thank you John. I will have to say there is a good chance it is wrong. I dont know the song well enough to really know. I would like to see a correct tab of it myself if anyone has one.

The tab is totally correct. That's the way I play it!

It's slightly different than the other recordings but I like the flow of my adaptation as well as the original.

Here's the sound file for the way I played it(middle song of the medley):

Ray price medley

There's a ton of things you can do with this song. A few notes one way or the other doesn't change the basic flavor of it.

Ok, but there's no F natural in a D chord.
