Trying out my new Vado-HD Pocket Camera on a Music Video..

Post by Roger Kelly »

I was wanting to see if I could use this little Pocket Video Camera without anything other than my Guitar, Amp, Volume Pedal and Track to make a Music Video that would be acceptable for the Web. I was impressed with this camera. What do you all think?

Billy thank you for your reply. Here is a link to this video camera. It will tell you more than I can about it. It is about the size of a Cell Phone.
It lists for over $200.00 but I got mine from Amazon.com for $113.00 Brand New shipped to my door.
I did use a Tri-Pod making this video which I already had. Just set it up, point it and turn it on...
You can also edit your video from the software in the camera.

Vado Video Camera Tryout

Post by Roger Dillingham »

Hey Roger,
That was great!! I Thought the quality of the video and the audio was very good! Your playing is very smooth and adds a great deal to the wonderful artist you were backing up. I tried to see who the vocalist was, although I don't think it was shown anywhere on your site. My best guess is the incomparable and beautiful Miss Connie Smith! Am I right? Thank you for putting this up for our enjoyment. Keep on pickin' Brother! Your PSG friend, Roger Dillingham :) :)

Roger D.

It is the lovely Laney Hicks.
I think this is a CD You can buy which has several tracks with Russ playing steel and then the same tracks without the steel.

Roger, Billy is right....the Vocal Track is indeed Laney Hicks one of the best singers in Country Music in my opinion. These Tracks, with and without the Steel, was available earlier this year from Russ and Laney. I purchased the entire set. If you want to back one of the best vocalist in Country Music today buy this set from Russ and Laney. I believe they might still have some available.
Roger, thank you for the compliment.

Sounds good Roger. I wished we could have got to jam more before you moved. If you're going to be in the area anytime let some of us know and we'll get a jam together somehow. Nice looking and good sounding guitar too.

Thanks Tony for the nice comment. I hope to get back that way before too long. I'd certainly like to jam with you and Mike, Eddie, Steve, David and Bryan.
I'll need to do a lot of "Woodsheddin'" to be able pick with you guys.
