Sweet Memories ... A second run-through of the song ...

Here's another little run through of "Sweet Memories" ...

Can anyone tell me what would cause the little video glitch that happens right around the 2:43 mark? For just an instant about one second of the video seems to repeat itself. I've never had that happen with my camcorder before.

Jim, Youtube screwed up on me. After deleting my first comment (due to wanting to add something)it wouldn't let me re-post. Here is what I wrote:
Jim, barring any editing glitches by yourself, I would say it is a glitch in youtube itself.
Keep truckin'.
Suggestion: Some places the steel could be more out front, like more presence than the track.
Your Mullen sounds dynamite!
Your playing gives me the courage to try my hand at posting this same song after MY 20 yr layoff. Great stuff Jim!

I think it would be neat to read what you used to record this song; like, if you ran it straight to the camera, what type of camera, or if you ran the sound into a recording program and edited.
Good job man!

Hi, Bent ... and thanks for your comments. I listened again to the video and you're definitely right. I did pull back on my volume just a tad too much in a couple of places. I appreciate you pointing that out and I'll be sure to watch my dynamics a little more whenever I play that song. :)

I merely had the track blasting away through my computer speakers (Boston Acoustic Media Theater) and my steel was coming right out of my Nashville 400s. As far as recording, that was all picked up through the built-in mic of my Sony Camcorder (a Hi-8 model). It really picks up sound very well.

I would love to see you do a video of this song. And I bet it would sound fantastic. :-) I've really been having a blast watching the various players playing on YouTube and it was watching them that gave me the courage to try my hand at it.

Oh, by the way, the track itself is an MP3 that Charles Tilley graciously sent to me via email. Many thanks to Charles ... :D
