Surreptitiously captured in a mass gathering during which socialization occurs between both genders of the species, the videographer risks life and limb but emerges unscathed, though both the audio and video portions are somewhat inferior to modern recording techniques.
The Tom Teboe Band provides the necessary background accompaniment for the moderately coordinated mating ritual. Violinist onstage is Forumite Scott Moon.

Hey Herb - When I was in college, I often thought that the social behaviors of the honky-tonk crowd would have made a great master's thesis in cultural anthropology! jc |

the footage is kind of grainy but in addition to the Homosapien Texanas present, I think I spotted a couple of Australopithecus Robustus (Robusti?) |

Cool video Herb,
Reminds me of the evening about a month ago at Club 21 in Uhland when I saw you with Tom Teboe.
On mating and mates that also reminds me, I can't remember that one gal's name, was it Urma? I guess you could classify her as a Homosapien Texanas Ancientitas. She said after her second husband died she didn't want anymore men in her life, just dance partners, and proceeded to rant more than once that her second husband (who died) was just the biggest A-hole that ever came into her life. He just was a control freak and wouldn't let her perform simple little Texas Hill Country pleasures like mixing concrete and lifting limestone rocks and such to build walls, etc. Skills that were real important to Texas women, when she was a youngin. |
