derbyd10 is Bo Borland, I noticed a comment last night which has now been editted by himself, under steel players stating the "other 2 girls would sing Georgette out to the car park" ?!?!?

Thats so bad Bo, everyone is entitled to there opinion but to put someone down like that on a public board is bad, it aint a singing competiom.

Georgette is a great singer, prob not your thing but people loved her there

I glad you changed it to " that band rocks "

Anyway it was a good night

Thanks Jamie,

Both she and the band, did a real fine job. I liked Paul's ride. That's how playing should be. Play it as you're feeling it, and Paul sure was into it.

Great Job,
Thanks for the heads up.

The steel playing was superb.
Great song.
I was not greatly impressed with the vocals.
My opinion only.

Billy, I agree with you. Great playing but very "pitchy" singing.

everyone who was there enjoyed it, and to be called up from the audience and do that was good, with her own band and own setup etc, obviusly people sound different, but hey it was a good night !

Excellent job! I've liked her singing since I first heard her and of course, PF's pickin' is refreshing as always. To be invited on the stage with this group should be an honor. The best of the best!

Well the axe will fall on me too Kenny but who cares! Jamie did indeed kick it on this one! Paul’s playing absolutely blows me away on so many cuts and it could have been the nature of the two gigs but on this one what I was looking for was what Jamie gave! Sound as a £ young man or is it $! (he’ll understand that bit) and yes she does sound like ‘T’ could she sound like anyone better!? I cut my teeth on the steel playing along to Tammy tracks (Satin Sheets being one!) I wonder how many did that ?? ..back to the thread!! Good to hear more of the young GG keep it coming! All !!

Hi Bob, I played along to Satin Sheets too in my band years ago with my wife Julie on lead vocals. Learned the version by Jeanne Pruett...not sure but I think Jeanne was the original on that song, I just googled her. Good days :)

You know if you can't say anything good then don't say anything at all! I was there that night too and she turned out a good performance and was well received from the audience.

More people enjoyed it then people who did not, I know everyone likes different things and the way people sing, its the old saying, you can't please everyone.
