A new posting on the JERRYBYRD-FANCLUB.com/ site....is no Buddy Emmons but it can give a good idea of how good a sound one can get by playing in a non-pedal STYLE on a pedal steel.

The tune and the back-up......uses no pedals at all even though it's being played on a 4-neck, 8-string, BIGSBY 6-pedal steel guitar. The old amp was a Fender Bassman 4x10's. Look for it on Ray's CD's page.

There should never be any fuss about packing two guitars to a gig when so much beautiful music can be played without the necessity of using any pedals whatsoever. It's what and how you play it more than on what body design you do so.

I've only heard of J.M. however the music style that you play and have played for many years is the style that inspired me to take up the steel 30 yrs ago. Thank you for keeping swing alive.
