GaSGA STEEL GUITAR SHOW (Georgia)

Post by Bob Evens »

It's that time again! The Steel Guitar folks, down here in Georgia, are, once again, settin' up shop for a good time to be had by one and all. It's gonna be November 1, 2009 at the Shriners Temple on Ponce-de- Leon, from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. You will be in the company of Steel guitars, Steel Guitar Players and Musicians who love the Steel. People who have dedicated their lives to making some of the most exciting and beautiful music you will ever hear.
We have a line up to knock your socks off. Raffle tickets for excellent prizes. Fellowship with old frends and make some new ones long the way. Good food, soft drinks and coffee right at hand. We have 12 Players lined up from 17 to 100 (Wayne Smith, Bass Player) Just look at the list below. Not too loud and some fast and some slow...in short, something for everyone. So, come and join us for a day filled with fun you'll be talking about for a long time.
PS: Got something to sell or trade? Bring it on down. You may find sombody who can't live without it!

Looking forward to seeing and meeting all of the folks that make up our Georgia Steel Guitar Association.

Sincerely,
Bob Evens
VP GaSGA

Man, I can't wait to open for Randy Sorrels! I'm glad to see he has time time off with Montgomery Gentry to make it down. And it's good to see some of our South Carolina friends joining us. Looks like a fun day.

It sure is easy to be president of the group when you have a team like Evens, Ferguson, and Ms Dodd!

Thanks guys.

Mark your calendars. This will be another good one.

Since ya'll brought up the dogs......

I am probably going to miss the show this time because that moring I will be arriving back home from my annual hunting trip to the north woods of Wisconsin with my pets.

Here we are doing what we usually do up there...stand in the snow and get cold. Notice the usual lack of harvested game in the picture.

Hopefully I will be back in time to come down and introduce Randy Sorrells, my hero. Oh and Tommy Dodd, my other hero. :D

Hey Stowers, come on out. I hear they let just about anybody play.

See ya there,
Jim

(just in case there is anyone out there who doesn't know, I'm just goofin' with Stowers. When he is around, I gladly assume my position as the "other" drummer)
