I highly recommend Jason Lollar's pickups! He wrote the book! Covers a lot of different types too. He's rewound pups for me, and I have his "Chicago Steel" on my Coodercaster.

I have 2 unused Vintage Vibe lap steel pickups posted in the "For Sale" "Amps and Accessories" section which will work for 7 or 8 strings.

If you're not after a vintage appearance, a 3.5" Alumitone Bass Bar pickup from Lace is hard to beat for tone and quietness.
