This song is kickin'! I believe early 80's at one of Jeff Newman's college's.I know the sound guality is not the best but it is good to hear Bubby at anything he does.

And the great Phil Baugh smokin' on his pedal-equipped Peavey T-60 guitar.

Great clip showing the essence of having fun jammin' on some swingin' bluesy jazz.

I heard them play in St Louis, 1981, Buddy and Phil with a bigger band. The best live band I ever heard in my life! ;-)
I think the bass player on this Jeffran clip is David Smith. This would be between '81 and '83, about the time Buddy recorded his "One For the Road" album. His amp looks and sounds like a Session 500, which came out 1981-82, and only was made for a year or two.

I think the bass player on
this Jeffran clip is David Smith.
The bassist isn't David Smith.

He is Duke Dumas, and a top-
drawer guitarist as well.

Drummer is Ralph Land.

Guitarist Marvin Lanier
had also been on hand
around this time-frame.
