Cheap telecaster project....neckless..
Killer deal for someone here.. I have a mint condition MIK Samick Artist Series tele.. Gorgeous ash body body in clear poly,, Dead mint condition. The Artist series were highly rated guitars, and it really is very nice,,, Even Wikipedia mentions the Artist Series as very good guitars, in thier write up of Samick. Its from the early-mid 90's...
Finish as well as all parts and hardware are in perfect condition.
Good solid bridge, Nice vintage looking single ply black pickguard.. Both pickups are good quality Alnico magnet pickups with brass plates , not cheesy ceramics.
Factory shielding paint in the electronics cavity. Nice quality wiring and switch etc.. Really nicely built.
I bought this guitar just for the neck, which I put on a MIJ Fernandes Strat,, I have no use for this VERY nice loaded tele body.. Comes with every single part, right down to the neck plate and screws.. Add a neck, and you have a VERY sweet ash tele for peanuts... This fitted body is absolutely dead mint. Hard to believe its over 15 years old. Looks brand new, and it sounded great when I played it.. And then I molested the poor thing for its neck... If you have a neck laying about, this is a sweet deal.. I'll send it out for $100.. Shipping is on me... I will also trade it for a good set of stratocaster pickups.. bob

Bob, why didn't you just buy a neck from Warmoth?

Too much money!... The neck I got off the Tele is great really.. The problem with a Warmoth neck is they are pricey, and you never get your money back on them. The Fernandes is a "toy".. I want to set it up as a great player for cheap. I already have a killer 83 USA strat that has a fresh pro set up, new bone nut etc, but i wanted a litte project strat.Mike Perlowin wrote:Bob, why didn't you just buy a neck from Warmoth?
I priced Warmoth necks, and some are as much as a clean USA strat.. bob

Yes.. no problem.. I thought about mounting the Fernandes strat neck on the tele and selling it like that, but I will probably do better selling the neck seperately... If the neck doesn't sell, I'll just keep it and have it here in case I ever sell the Fernandes strat.. However, I'm not one to sell guitars without a good reason to do so.. bobChris Boyd wrote:Bob...Would the strat neck mount correctly on the Tele body ??
