Anyone know what's up with the Wilde USA business?

Best I can tell, this is where a person would buy a new Bill Lawrence P/U for steel. Right? However, the phone # of 1-877-647-2651 (which is correct based on the outgoing message) has a mailbox that's full and has been for several days. And I can't find any way to order a steel P/U online.

The grass seemed greener back when I had a 710 in my steel so I wanted to go back to those days of "grass is always greener" gone by! Ahhh, longing for the quiter times of humbuckers...

I have read that Lace has gone into business with Bill Lawrence and will be building Lawrence pickups. I think his health is playing a part in the decision. Anyway, Becky has not emailed me back either, as she normally does, I assume they are in transition. I wanted a couple more 710s while Bill was still building them.

I spent a few weeks trying to get in touch with them, to no avail. Lace Music is also not answering e-mails, kind of a bad sign....

Thanks fellows. Kind of what I figured.

Guess I'll keep my eyes open for a good price on a used one.

The tonealigner is growin' on me...

Brian, if you want humbucker, why not try Ed Fulawka's pickup. Great sounding pups and very quiet!

Note from Becky - September 13, 2009

Dear Friends,

If you haven't heard the thrilling news of Bill's new arrangement with the Lace brothers, please read here! http://www.tdpri.com/

We are so happy to have this new setup and we're already moving into the Huntington Beach facility to begin production asap. Bill is protecting, for years to come, that his products will be made right here in the USA.

For future reference, I won't be a part of the daily operations due to my health situation, but be assured that I'll always be available for consulting and support. I have faith in Bill, Don and Jeff (and our friend Rodger Smith who is helping out) to bring this transition at a fruitful point for Lawrence and Lace.

There's lots of excitement here, and can't wait for you to be a part of it too!

Love,

Becky
