"Leonard" SD12 universal pedal steel?

Post by Ryan Barwin »

I was jamming with someone today, and he had a green SD12 universal, with a logo that says "Leonard" on the front. He didn't know how to play it, or much about steel guitar, but he mentioned Don McKown in Mississauga gave it to him. I've never heard of Leonard guitars...does anyone here know anything about them?

I saw one a few years ago. An S10. Looked like it was homemade. String spacing was very wide, and the same at the keyhead as at the changer. Could be a canadian thing...Jerry

I've got a S10 that I started out on, still have it. It was built by a fellow out of the Niagara area (I think) in the late 70's. His son posts on here once and awhile. Maybe he'll jump in if he see's this.
