TO SPLIT TUNE A P/P SOME SAY YOU CANT SOME SAY YOU CAN .I HAVE FIXED MINE TO WHERE IT WILL SPLIT THE 5TH ON A KNEE LEVER ITS SIMPLE TAKES ABOUT 30 MINUTES
ONLY ONE PART NEEDED AND THATS A SPRING.
BUT YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO WORK ON AND ADJUST A P/P
IT DONT CHANGE YOUR PEDAL FEEL AND KNEE LEVER WORKS
GREAT .YOU CAN ALSO ADD THE FRANKLIN LOWER ON THE 5TH
WITHOUT THE PEDAL SLOP.BUT THEN YOU CANT SPLIT.
CALL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS 478-230-8867
AND INFO IS FREE JUST GLAD TO HELP
I HAD A HARD TIME HALF TONING MY PEDAL AFTER BACK SURGERY ,SO THIS IS WHAT I COME WITH.I USED A LOWER RETURN SPRING THEN CUT IT IN HALF TO MAKE IT STRONGER ,YOU DONT WANT IT TO STRETCH VERY LITTLE WHEN YOU PULL THE 5TH STRING
NOTICE UNDER THE SPRING HOW I FIXED THE PUSH ROD WITH A SPACER ,SPRING AND A COLLER THIS MAKES THE KNEE LEVER WORK RIGHT.WHEN YOU PULL THE 5TH STRING YOU ADJUST THE PUSH ROD UP TO THE PULL FINGER SO WHEH YOU PULL IT UP YOU THEN PRESS KNEE LEVER IT PUSHES PULL FINGER BACK .TUNE KNEE LEVER WITH STOP OR INSTALL A TUNER ON THE ROD

Buddy,

I was looking under my p/p tonight trying to figure out how this works, I am not seeing it.

Can you post more pics or a drawing, splitting for the C note on string 5 is something I have wanted for a long time.

See my very similar ideas on this thread: (scroll to the bottom of the page)

It works on the same principle, the only difference is that I have the spring (on the raise rod) in a different place Very Happy

I DONE THIS JUST TO SPLIT THE 5TH
IT DOES NOT LOWER AND SPLIT LIKE RICHARDS
BUT I LIKE WHAT I SEE ON HIS SYSTEM .IM PLAYING AROUND WITH IT .IF IT DONT CHANGE THE PEDAL FEEL
I WOULD LIKE TO SPLIT AND LOWER
ITS GREAT TO SHARE IDEAS WITHOUT TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT
THANKS RICHARD

Buddy,
I have never put my idea into practice, it's purely hypothetical at the moment Very Happy

One stumbling block would be to somehow have an accurate adjustment mechanism on the lowering rod, as the distance from the end of the rod to the collar that pushes the lower is critical.

The other reason why I have not tried this mod is that I think it would be a bit 'clunky' when the split is activated
