About that serial number....................

Post by Ray Montee »

You might lay the g'tar down on the dining room table, with strings up toward the ceiling.

THEN, go down to the headstock where the tuning pegs are located.

Right there, on the very end of the headstock centered on the narrowest piece of Bakelite that's looking at you, should be the serial number, embossed into the end of the headstock.

SIMPLE as that.

If it's post-war (t-shaped logo plate, 1-1/4" pickup magnets, "ashtray" headstock logo cover), it probably won't have an imprinted serial number.
