I heard Buddy Emmons do a great version of this 1957 Sinatra hit on pedal steel back in the 80s. I have not heard a lap steel version so time for one. Would be interested to know if anyone else did it on lap steel. Its one of those tunes that grows on you......great words, great chords...

Sinatra re-recorded it twice after the original for Capital Records. It was nominated for the " Record of the Year", "Song of the Year" and "Best Vocal Performance" at the very first Grammy Awards. Nelson Riddle's rather bright orchestral arrangement was nominated for " Best Arrangement". It has been recorded by many other artistes including Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Oscar Peterson, Ray Stevens, Marvin Gaye etc..
