I just signed up yesterday, mostly out of curiosity because when I saw Rhonda Vincent in concert recently she said she Twittered and I'd Twitter with her any day of the week.......JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

Twitter is 40% ‘Pointless Babble’: Report
Messages classed as babble included such gems as “I’m having a sandwich,” Pear Analytics said.

Only 8.7 percent of messages were found to have pass-along value. Pointless babble was the largest category with 40.5 percent. Conversational tweets were 37.5 percent

I do for my business (@ethicstweet) and check in now and then on #pedalsteel. However, as for the pointless babble - and there is certainly plenty of it - I just don't get the point of it. Thankfully, one can 'turn off' all that babble, or avoid it altogether, just by not following the babblers.

Once I finally took the plunge into Twitter - and it was tough to convince to me to try it - I've been amazed at how helpful it's been in the non-music part of my professional life.

Can't text and never carry a Mobile (Cell) phone so I don't know how I would get into that, where does it exist?

James.

My teenage kids twitter but I have never asked them what its all about, seems to me its a good way of keeping in touch with friends that you know and hundreds of pretend "friends " that they never see.

They keep telling me i should do it 'cos lots of businesses have a twitter or facebook presence ,can anyone tell me how it helps in business.
