sbenzian..good scale work..makes steel sing

Post by Robert Cates »

Sorry that I don't have a link for you. Maybe someone could put a link on here for me

On u-tube..sbenzian is playing along with a singer and the song is... "Hands-you make me feel like a man"
For all you guys who have Jeff Newmans video.."Just play the melody" this is a good example of scales and sbenzian really uses them well.

He has lots of good instruction on u-tube also.. I looked for him on the forum and couldn't find where he has posted on here.. Is he a member?

Check it out

Thanks

Bob

Bob, skimming through out the 36 comments posted on this vid,

I believe the player is none other than Jeff Newman and not sbenzian. Maybe I'm wrong?

Thank you Gary for doing that for me...

He sure does sound like Jeff. He sounds great!!!!
It just goes to show that you don't have to be a fast picker to make the steel sound good...just let it sing

Thanks again

I am so bad at this computer stuff..I didn't scroll down to read any of the comments. The comments indicate that it IS the great Jeff Newman.

I love the sound. Just wonderful

Definitely Jeff Newman. Jeff was also my teacher and a great inspiration for me. I spent lots of time talking with him. He was always willing to help if you need some insight in a particular area on the steel guitar.
