Psst: I hear Chuck Campbell will be there Saturday night....

Mike,

I'll have to check my schedule but one way or another at least my Trio should be able to perform a 45 minute set somewhere during those two days. Count us in~

I have to add that I'm not the final say on any of the slots. I'm merely a go-between. I do know that there is probably going to be an emphasis on Rock, Western Swing and Country styles; unfortunately less emphasis on Hawaiian, but I'm not ruling it out.

I may have to think about making some shorter sets, too.

laps of steel

Post by Robert Szpuk »

Not the workout video. Hi forumites, I was wondering if there are booths and/or exhibitors possibly selling "steel guitars" or vintage amps at these shows. I have been finding and restoring them for a while and have a few that I would like to offer if that seemed an appropriate venue. I am seeking any advice or opinions. thanks, Rob

...not many know this, but we are also a Jam Band....we've played hours of Freeform music into the wee hours of the night...-- we go way, way.....way out (my guitar player doubles on theramin 8) )

...probably not appropriate...but it's not Hawaiian

I'm a fan. Saw her live once, but only caught part of the set. She's NYC based, too...

Things are in full swing for this weekend. We've got some great talent on board, including Dan Tyack, Slo-Mo (Mike Brenner), Fred Kinbom, Tiki Daddy, Nation Beat, and more.

Workshop logistics have not been worked out yet, but I will make details available as soon as they become available.

Mark your calendars: Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, 2009. Be there.

Just to let everyone know, if you're in the NYC area, this is the place to be. We've got all flavors for you.

Saturday, it's been confirmed that Dan Tyack will feature his friend Chuck Campbell! I put together a slamming band for them and we're going to bring it.

Man, I'd love to get someone with the means to video tape these shows! I've got cameras--any volunteers?

Mike,
I love those smaller festivals.
Good music, meeting nice people, making friends...
Wish I could be there.

Good luck
Thomas
