Was watching an old show of Pop Goes The Country. Who is the sreel player? Lots of hair and a big mustache. Awesome picking.

Ive had over 300 hits and still nobody knows who the steel player was on Pop goes the Country. Thats incredible. Surely somebody knows.

The program had






















On the show was Jerry Reid and his daughter. Steel player had a large afro style hair cut with a large mustache. Sounded like Franklin style of picking.

I don't know if it was Ralph Emery, or someone else, but the procedure at that time was to keep the band low profile. I remember they would often appear to be in the dark, you could rarely see enough to recognize someone. Sometimes they'd show a close up of the players hands, but it was often the wrong instrument. :)
