Black Harbor Lights

Post by Harry Sheppard »

Here are a couple of pictures of my latest guitar finished in all gloss black lacquer, flame maple binding, ebony fretboard and bridge, pearl position markers, brass nut and saddle and custom Vintage Vibe pickups in Jazz Bass covers. Black has got to be the hardest color to do but I am very happy with the way it turned out. It looks like a mirror! Thanks for looking.

Very nice! Oh how I love to see fine craftsmanship.

Anyone should be proud to own that one, especially if it sounds as good as it looks. :D

Will he, she or it be sold? Or kept as keepsake?

As the awaiting owner of this guitar I am like a child waiting for Santa Claus. It is certainly a work of great beauty and I am sure that it will sound as good too.

Harry is a great guy to do business with and I can recommend him to anyone.

Many thanks Harry.

Ray.

Beautiful job. I am thinking of doing a black gloss. How many coats did you use? Any clear coat? How did you keep it dust free? That is my biggest challenge to solve.
