Honk Tonk

Post by Jaclyn Jones »

Here is a video of myself at the Alvin Opry doing Honky Tonk. That is Louis Fournerat on steel, Norm Cass on guitar and the great Tony Booth on bass.

Nice version of this great old Bill Doggett instrumental (no relation). :) I was just reading about this song in a book about Cincinatti's King Records. Bill said they made this up in a jam, and decided to record it. After it became a hit, they put some words to it.

Tony Booth and Norm Cass of the great Palomino Riders band I first heard when I got to L.A. in '72.! With JayDee Maness and Archie Francis on drums and Larry Booth on bass.

Tony still is as great as ever. That night he did 2 of his hits, Working at the carwash blues and Keys in the mailbox. It is a honor to share the stage with Tony and Norm.

Nice job on the guitar, Jaclyn. Do you have any videos posted where you play the pedal steel?
