jamie...your licks will tighten up and make more sense with your new gig. doug stone has some great country tunes.

i say this because obviously you think you are pretty hot, posting all the you tubes and such. keep in mind there is always room for improvement and maturation.

Chris, for one I do not think I am pretty hot !
And if I want to put youtube videos up like alot of steel players do I damn well will !

You have a got a right nerve posting what you did.

Theres always room for improvment with every player and the comment "Maturation" you dont even know me.

So if someone post vids of there playing they think "THEY ARE PRETTY HOT"

my girlfriend just read all of this and informs me that i'm being a dickwad....i told her i think you're good but now is the time to become tastefully great. you've come to nashville to make it big as a steel player...things are progressing well. getting an attitude won't help your relations with people in the business.

Chris I have no attitude, but when your posting comments like "You think your pretty hot"!

How do you know I think that ???

For one I dont.

I aint in Nashville yet, not till January 2010. I have several things happening here before I go.

Like backing Brent Mason in Ireland, a tour with Hal Ketchum, and much more. I will learn from these experiences and I do see your point, but could have be said a bit nicer !

Jamie, hard as it may just try ignore the personal remarks to you. The Forum is a happy place and not for people to message derogatory remarks to a player who happens to be good. I personally see a hint of jealousy there. Of course we "all" know there is room for improvement as we go through the years playing this beast of an instrument we chose. I think it's great that players do the "youtube" thing to show their playing styles....after all that's why Bob has graciously included this "Steel on the web" section. I personally would like to do it too sometime when I can get myself a decent camcorder. Let me know if you're playing in my part of the woods...last time I saw you was with "Rudy" at Rank's hall in Mitcheldean Gloucestershire. I'm now back in Essex, and settled in again...long story mate. Take care Micky

Jamie,
You remind me of myself, 20 yrs ago. I applaud your energy and picking style. Keep up the good work, it's showing. I'm envious of your upcoming gigs. I wish I had those opportunities, years ago. Keep on picking, brother.

Jaime, Years ago, the late great Jeff Newman confided in me, that in our steel guitar business there are both pros and cons. You are truly a pro in your playing and in your kind gentlemanly attitude. Ignore the cons and keep on doing what you are doing.
