Does anyone know who played steel on "Hello Mrs. Johnson" by Cal Smith? Lloyd maybe? Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess the proper name of the song is "The Lord Knows I'm Drinking"

I thought all these years that it was Johnny Cox.

"Hello Mrs. Johnson, you self-righteous wo-man.
Sunday school teacher, with a great big ab-domen..."

Yeah, we made up our own words, sometimes. Laughing

John, here you go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNf3eHJGe70
Cal rules on this one Smile
While you are at it, listen to Country Bumpkin also

I have been looking for "Between Lust and watching TV" also but so far no luck.
Cal had a knack for choosing the great songs

Two questions:

Anyone tried to tab this one out?

Is there something hard about this song? I heard Justin Trevino play it with Jim Loessberg on steel and it was fabulous. I have asked Justin and others to play it since and they told me the band couldn't do it.

The song has great rhythm and everybody likes it but nobody does it, very similar to another song "Don't squeeze my Charmine"
