Best Steel EVER! Practically plays itself!

Post by Ben Turner »

:whoa: :D This is pretty neat! My older brother is all the time making things from scratch. Like myself, we grew up building model kits, he became a lot more advanced. He builds a lot of stuff from scratch now, so jokingly I told him to build a steel one day. Loaned him a Carter brochure, and here's what he came up with. (from scratch!) :D

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.

That is hilarious. It's like now Mr. Bill, Sluggo, and Gumby will all have a steel to play.

This has the ultra-low-low-ultra-low-ultra under-height kit. Special made-to-order! about 2" from the ground to the bottom of the cabinet.

I think I'm a bit suspicious about the fret locations. Of course, it would play better if it had strings. Does it have a mechanism ? :D

Ken is gonna leave Barbie after he sees that.

Btw. some steel vendors sell front leg and pedal rod raising kits.
Looks like your project could benefit from such an upgrade ;)

Seems like your brother could make a living making Birthday Cakes in the shape of steel guitars. I'm sure there would be a demand.

Come to think of it, are you sure this isn't already a cake ? :whoa:
