Great Show - Small crowd
I walked in while Jack Conyers was starting up and it was so good to see and hear him again. I would have been disappointed if Brett had not been there with Tommy.
I won a Mike Sweeny CD. Brett had a choice (3 of Tommy's CDs or 1 of Mike's) before me and he picked Tommy's. Either way we got the best. I'll have to try and work a deal to swap back and forth with Brett. Mike and Tommy both have some awesome cd's.
You will be hard pressed to find better steel picking in Nashville TN than what Roger Crawford and Bill Nicholson pumped out yesterday.
So I been there and got the T-shirt. Maybe next time I'll get the hat(Jackson).

I'd like to thank the Ga.S.G.A. for asking me to play. It was a lot of fun and I recomend to everyone to make the next one. I wasn't up to par yesterday as I was going on 2 hours sleep and then driving down but, that's the way it goes sometimes. The band was great and so were all the steel players plus the food was too. What more could you ask for?
Thanks again everybody.

Thanks to all who played and listened yesterday. It was a great show; we just needed more listeners.
Yes, JJ. Roger had it going didn't he! And Nicholson is going to get a prime time set next time (along with Charlie Vaughn) so that more folks hear them.
Donuts next time Austin. Thanks for not making an issue. We know how tempermental some artists can be.
Mike Sweeney, it was hard to tell that you were tired the way you played. We really enjoyed your set and hope you can make it back some time.
A special thanks to Harry and David Jackson for bringing the beautiful guitars and Rusty Rhodes to pick them.
See ya'll in November!

Thanks to all of the GaSGA staff for another great show. It's not as easy to put one of these things together as you might think! Mike Sweeney, you played your butt off, buddy. I gotta learn some of those counter points you were using. And it was great to see Harry and David Jackson and all the fine Jackson guitars they brought. I got to play Bobbe Seymour's new one for a few minutes, and he hasn't even seen it yet! I left some licks on it for you, Bobbe. And thanks for the kind words on my playing (you wrote it just like I asked you to, JJ!). Makes all the practice worth while. Is it November yet, Daddy???
