Ron, Bobby's right, "It is all of us who should be thanking you"
And we do all love you and Leslie.
Go to a Hall of Fame fun raiser, and there you are.
Love you both

Ron,
I guess I could come up with some words to say on this post but my brother Bobby Caldwell said exactly what I would have said so put my name next to his words while remembering his post.
Except for one thing, I'll do the kissing of Miss Leslie if you don't mind.....she's my sweetheart.
Looking forward to seeing you both real soon in St. Louie Louie .

That too, but less so in the USA. Everyone just thinks I'm from a weird part of Ireland. |

mr. Ron, what can I say my friend? I haven't really known you for that long personally, but you are truly an idol. A true patronage for steel gutar. Such style, your smoothness in playing... it's truly remarkable.
especially your reindition of "blue spanish eyes"
my friend, I cant wait to see you at st. louis and hopefully we will see each other many more times down the road.
thank you mr. Ron Elliot
I truly admire you and appreciate your contributions to the steel guitar world.
your friend in Derby,

Ron, uh, Mister Elliott . . .
You certainly merit all the kudos here and so much more.
You've been one of my extreme fav's for years, mostly
due to the intimate expressiveness you create.
The only other player that comes to mind that could hush
a huge steel audience, hold them spellbound and bring them
to tears through the beauty of their music was Jimmy Day.
It's been my great fortune to be on the ISGC stage with you
through the years, but I never get to tell you this 'mushy
stuff' when we play together because you always
keep us all 'in stitches' with your 'funnies'.
Lotsa love to
you and Les' . . .

Guys and Gals,
I cant't begin to tell you how much all of these great compliments mean to us. We have been playing St.Louis and so many other states and countries for most of our lives,...and not only have I played with some of the finest musicians, but have become friends with some of the greatest people in the world. All of what you all have said...I shall try to live up to,..as we are fading fast. You all have made the "winter of my life" so very sunny. Bless you all. See you down the road.

Ron, I hope this month passes quickly, so we get to hear you
and chat with you again. You always brighten the day,
and you've helped me a lot, since my accident 2 years ago.
Give Leslie a big hug for us, we love you brother. See you soon.
