I agree with the suggestions to try the Jeff Newman and Herby Wallace courses. Part 1 and 2 Swingin by Jeff is a real gem and gets you going pretty quickly. If you like those beautiful fat chord voicings you'll be sure to progress. It does take some time. Be patient.

Jeff recorded "Swingin parts 1 & 2 in 92. I purchased them about 2 years ago. Jeffran College. video dvd.

I purchased them just a couple of weeks ago. They're still in print.
