I bought a refinished 1948 Gibson Ultratone, but it does not have the Fretboard.

If someone here has one could you email or send me a PM if you would be able to trace the shape of it out, and where the screws go, fret location? I'm having a hard time track one down so I think I'm going to make one.

I'd be willing to pay someone for their time and postage to send it to me.

Thanks!

Aaron,
I'm not sure I've mastered posting web addresses yet, but here are a couple of links to online fret scale calculators to try.

http://www.windworld.com/tools/fretcalc.htm

http://buildyourguitar.com/resources/fretcalc/jscrptclc.htm

If you decide to make your own fretboard, just measure your string length from where the string touches the nut, to where it touches the bridge, and type in the required info into one of the calculators.
I would try first printing out my frets on a piece of paper, and taping it beneath the strings snug up to the nut, then try it out to make sure it sounds like the frets are in the right place before I started carving and sawing on a piece of wood or plexiglass.
I've never seen an Ultratone up close, but they are quite distinctive looking in pictures. I hope your project turns out well. You should have a great instrument when you are done. Good Luck!

Actually the fret positions arent that important. I really just need the shape of the plate.

If anyone could make a PDF/JPG I can print it.

Thanks

Aaron,
Just go to this page.

There should be enough photos of Ultratones and Centuries to do what you need.
