Help! I desperately need a case for a Carter Starter!

Post by James Maxwell »

Hi guys, I am new to the PSG scene and recently bought a Carter Starter, but as most of you know it only comes with a flimsy little gig bag (i.e. bag made for a keyboard)! I have looked but haven't had much luck finding one, does anyone have a case that would work for my guitar that you would be willing to sell me? --- P.S.: I am a young, new player and don't have much money!

Thank you guys!

Carters sell a hard case for that instrument. I can understand you wanting to put it away. :D

James,
Bobbe Seymour sells them at his store: Steel Guitar Nashville, email: sales@steelguitar.net website: www.steelguitar.net Phone#615-822-5555, (Check under Student Guitars, on The Left) I Cannot list the price, Because it is a New Item, But He sell's them for A price you can afford! Give him a call or email him and He Can "Hook A Brother UP!", PS. The Case that Bobbe Sells Looks Just Like The One That Dale Self Had For Sale (Now Sold). - Howie :D

Thanks Doug, I saw that, but the Carter website scares me cause their shipping promise states it may take them up to 30 days to ship it (if its even in stock), and there is no info of the shipping cost. They don't tell you the charge until you pay and get to the end (at least that's they way it appears). One page showed the shipping cost for a string-winder at $13.00! http://www.steelguitar.com/accessor/orderfrm.htm Does any of you guys have experience of buying something from Carters website?

This is what I said right from the start.

I have one of the Carter cases. They fit exactly and are very reasonably priced. Mine arrived in just a few days. It probably has to do with whether they have a stock of them at the time you order. Why go elsewhere ? Just call them first and see what the lead time is.

I'll echo that. I bought a set of leg extenders and they dispatched them the day I ordered them. As an aside, those leg extenders fit other PSGs too.

Thanks guys for all your links and advice. Fortunately someone on the forum had one for a good deal so I bought one from him. I am glad to hear that Carter's site has been dependable for you guys, you have given me confidence for any future purchases. I guess they say that shipping thing about 30 days just to be safe and cover all their bases.

It's always best to under promise and over deliver. That way you pretty much always meet or exceed expectations. :)
