Utube video !!

Post by James Martin (U.K.) »

Perhaps someone can help me out here? ( I'm not too good with the PC ) I'm playing a little bit of steel on my a song/video clip written by and sang by a good friend of mine. It is number one in the European Country Chart at the moment. The video is on UTube under the heading " dun the veil " Can someone out there put this clip on to the forum - I haven't a clue how to do it.The song is called " Tears on the window pane " Thanks in advance.

Bob, thank you very much for doing me that favour. First time I've heard myself on the forum. Quite a nice tone off the Carter I thought. Cheers Jim.

On the Utube related songs to the right another song and video by the same guy "looking down on heaven " is worth a listen - no steel though.

nomenclature

Post by Daniel Morris »

Remember when youtube was new? So do the guys at UTube. The industrial tube and rollform company, whose site was deluged with hits because people assumed that was the spelling, has since changed to utubeonline. Just an FYI - no harm meant.

U tube clip

Jim,
What a small world, the drummer on the album is Richard Spooner who was my son Steve,s Head Tutor on the coarse he took at West Herts Music College.
Funny I only spoke with him today he is in Switzerland. He is a very well known rock drummer and is finding it strange to be involved in country music.

Hey Jim,
Great playing,
You're getting a great tone out of that Carter, a tone that I just couldn't find when I owned it :D

Just goes to show, it ain't the vehicle, it's the driver :D :D

My 15secs of fame

Post by James Martin (U.K.) »

Finbarr, Roger, Mike, thanks very much for the kind comments - that's my 15 seconds of fame. Ray, I never met the other musos involved in this song. What usually happens with the guy ( Paul ) who wrote and sang this song is that he turns up on the doorstep armed with a camcorder and laptop and says I need a bit of steel or fiddle and twenty minutes later he's gone. Hey, Richard, You were the one who got the best review regarding tone at Dunloe that ZB just sang out with of course a great picker behind it. Pity the recording was out of sync I seem to be at that fifth fret a long time - I'm not sure what's happened there! Once again thanks for the kind remarks.
