Dave plays some very sweet steel and shows how nice a ZB Custom can sound. :)

Up to the top for a fine job of backing a singer. :)

This is really good! Only one listen is not enough! I just recently received a cd by a band called I See Hawks in L. A. which is very good and he plays on most all of the songs.

Chuck,

It says Black Rose Pub in the info. I bet it makes you want to play that ZB right now? :)

 Yikes!

Thanks for a vote of confidence Russ! :) Glad you like my simple and understated approach to that song. The video was taken by my personal stalker that shows up to 80% of my gigs with a camcorder. That's ok 'cause she does does a heck of a job passing the tip jar for us, bless her heart! I wish more people around here were that enthusiastic about music! This was taken at the Black Rose Irish Pub in Santa Rosa Ca. I call it the Black Hole.......

Joachim, the Hawks are good pals of mine and they're coming up from Los Angeles next month and I'll be sitting in. They do some real good "left coast hippy country." Did you see them when they went to Europe?

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
No. I don't think they played in Germany. Although I hate to admit it, there are less and less good artists coming for several reasons: high taxes for foreign artists, economic recession and the average taste of the public here ( which in my opinion is much better in other european countries), etc. My only exposure (?) to live Pedal steel playing has been the Albert Lee/ Gerry Hogan Band that plays here year after year.
Thanks, Joachim
