Does anybody know of anyone who can make a custom stainless bar? I have a particular shape I really like, but stock they're too long. So I have to cut them down, then they score easliy (probably because my playing is not to far from gorilla-style when I'm playing R&B). I know I could soften my touch, but seems like I'm stuck being ham-fisted. Any ideas? Anyone with a Bridgeport want to make big money?

Thanks,

There's a Steel Guitar Forum member taking orders (or at least was taking orders) in the For Sale: Amps & Accessories forum.

I have a bridgeport and an old south bend heavy 10 lathe. I just made myself a bar out of 303 stainless. polished it up, it looks just like chrome. These are typically made on a lathe, not a bridgeport. what Custom features are you looking for? I don't do this for a living, just like to do small projects and what not.
