This is a cut from my CD Favorite Songs Friends and memories. The song was written by my buddy Dave Kirby. This was put out on Country Discovery records ie Mike Headric.
Not a lot of steel on this song but its such a beautiful song. I'm doing the vocal and the harmony and steel. Go to my website below and click on my music.....
Hope you like it.

This is strange. There is no hint of a link in your message Bill. Same as the first time.
Nor do I see a link to your "website below"
I will paste your message in this message so you can see for yourself. Is it my browser or am I going nuts?

hey Bent, try the web site again at www.freewebs.com/billydee/ and see if that works.
I'm not very good at designing websites so there could be something wrong...let me know.

Bill, thanks. It works that way, when you put the link in the body of the message.

Again, I enjoyed your song very much. First, the choice of song is absolutely up my alley. What a beautiful tune and words. I can almost feel the man's pain. I want to give praise to your buddy Dave Kirby who wrote this one. All these years I thought it was Haggard.
This type of song suits your voice. You are good at choosing the songs.
Also, this time there is no hint of anybody else's voice ...only Bill Dobkins'

I predict that you have a good future with your singing and also the steel, although in this particular number you showed restraint. What little steel was there, was very tasteful.

I would like to order a copy of your upcoming CD.
best wishes
Bent

Bill, I wanted to thank you for the CD you gave me at the Mt. Vernon show. I listened to on the way back home and enjoyed it a lot. I especially liked this particular song. Thanks for taking the time to talk to this newly indoctrinated rookie. P.S. - really liked your new Rittenberry. I might just have to give one a go when I'm ready to make the jump to a better steel.

Bill -I just heard both of your songs on your Website.
They are both great examples of Classic Country tunes, very well done with good backup...al.:) :D 8)

Bart, glad you enjoyed the CD. Fellowship is number one at Mount Vernon. A great place to make new friends and see old one's.

Great job Bill! I like a song where I can tell what's being said and the backup licks are tasteful.
