....lloyd green is a steel guitar hero...
I just saw this guitar at close hand at the Seymour emporium. Man, it has so much provinence. In my personal opinion, Chalker never sounded better than when he was behind this guitar. He recorded some great things with the ShoBud, and it is in remarkable condition, allowing for the fact that it was Curly's road guitar for quite a while.

According to Bobbe in this old post it was actually a Fender 1000....Donny Hinson wrote:I've heard he actually played a Fender 2000 on the B.H.O.B.S. session???

What Bobbe is probably referring to in the photo is that the Sho~Bud he's leaning on is the one pictured on the album cover....

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Sho~Bud for MSA
I met Curly in 1973 when he and MA did a show near Allentown, Pa... I asked him why he was playing an MSA instead of SB and he said the MSA was a better Steel and it recorded better. The crowd really loved the way Curly played, he was a real master and great showman. When Curly played everybody listened..what a wonderful musician.
