Today is a very sad day. I lost my dad last month and now Charlie.
Jean and I have known Charlie and Margit for many years, and they
have been like a brother and sister to us since we first met them.
He will be missed so much by us and so many others.
Our prayers to Margit and family, may God bless you.
God Bless You Charlie, we love you.

We are at a loss for words!!! Charlie was more than the builder of a great guitar - he was one of our dearest and best friends. He and Margit are like family to us and we cherish the love and friendship they have honored us with. We will miss him very much and hope he will rest in peace now and forever.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with Margit and all of his family.

I've known Charles and Margit Stepp for about 4-yrs. and made quite a few trips to the Derby Shop. Charles built fine guitars. I'm sure Charles will especially be missed throughout the steel guitar community! My condolenses to Margit and the family upon this sad loss!

What a sad loss to our little world. Although we never met, we did speak many times. Charlie was a very nice man. My thoughts are for Margit and their family.
