I picked up an MSA on ebay and I can't get all the knees tuned at the endplate. I've seen a ton of threads on how to do this but can't seem to find one when I need it. Does anyone remember the thread(s) on tuning levers at the endplate?
TIA
This MSA has problems but sound isn't one of them.

re: end plate tuning
It is really straight forward. But, the tuning nuts are probably screwed in to far, pulling the finger off the stop plate, so that when you tune open, there isn't enough travel for the knee. I'd back way off the nuts, all of them so that there is about a 1/16th of an inch from making contact with the scissor. Then tune open, before tuning the knees. You should be able to see this if it is a problem by turning the guitar upside down and actuating each pedal and lever to see that each return spring is able to pull the scissor back to the stop plate when the lever or knee is released. Rarely a spring may need to be shortened
