Dunno her current steel player but do know that "Jerry Horner" played with her when nobody knew her.
Jerry is a pretty good picker.

My buddy Chad Jeffers, who is a multi-instrumentalist is Carrie's steel player. In 2002, Chad was part of a band called Pinmonkey where he played dobro. He then went and played guitar with Keith Urban in 2005, and since the end of '07 and the start of '08, he's been touring with Carrie as her steel player. He plays a Marrs steel and can be seen in the video of Carrie's version of Randy Travis's hit song "I Told You So", which is now a hit for Carrie.
