i tried jack stoners settings on my nv 112 and my 1000 they dont get that nasely sound now but my 1000 if i touch the shift knob any counter clock wise i get a real nasly bad tone when i put my fingers on it ever so lightly it makes a staticky sound could the shift pot need cleaning with an electronic cleaner any input appreciated mike _________________ Mike Bowles |

Sounds like you have a broken pot. I suggest that you have an authorized Peavey service center change this out for you if it is indeed broken. Here is the authorized service center link;

thanks guys after i posted this i took it apart and sprayed the shift pot with electronic cleaner this took care of the problem im going to set it and forget it _________________ Mike Bowles |
