Hey Vernon...I finally got around to listening to your post...that's mighty fine playing, you and Adkins.....I hear some of the Troubadors licks in there, almost ten years before their arrangement...very good stuff, thanks for the post.

Thanks Russ for your nice comments.Twas alot of fun in my young years. We use to rehearse for hours and play our arrangements that night. We had worked up Hugo Winterhalters "Velvet Glove" 4 part harmony.Play that tune Folks just look at us,Play Wasbash Cannon Ball, etc, They would tear the house down??.
Enjoyed your picking at Saluda, you still using the G2?
Sure had a wonderful tone.

:whoa:

Vern : Ya Da Steel Guitar Man of that ERA; same time I was pickin' away, way up in upper N.Y. State. I was just starting my career as a part time musician aboard ship in the Med. Sea. I did get to play for Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly in Monaco, but not a Pro which you certainly were, at that time.. And your " RICKY " was sounding great on one of my all time steel guitar standards. Keep up your great job of pickin', Vern..Bernie :D :whoa: :whoa:
