Today I counted 178 players that play on my web site. I am so proud that each of you took the time to place your song there with the others. The talent varies from early to advanced stages. Each player is worth listening to.

Why don't you take the time to send me a MP3 of your playing to be placed on the site?

Just send it to ttexastilley@sbcglobal.net and I will do the rest. Please remember that no singing files will be published.

Thanks to all of you for being a part of my effort for steel guitar. I enjoy every moment.[size=18]

Very Happy Rolling Eyes Laughing

Charles : Yes, I , too agree with all these great players for having you offer them the chance to be spot-lighted. You are doing great work, Charles. I have a number on an Lp but can't get it placed onto an MP3.. Don't have the right equipment to get it transferred over to an MP 3. Any suggestions..Bernie Very Happy Whoa! Whoa! Rolling Eyes

Bernie,
If you have a headphone output from your record player, you might be able to connect the record player to the computer.

If so, by using the free recording utility 'Audacity' (look it up in Google), you can record from your LP onto the computer, and then convert it to mp3 Very Happy

Bernie, I hooked my turntable to my computer but I had to use an interface mixer to do so. The mixer also has to have a ground to hook the turntable to so it will be properly grounded otherwise you will get a lot of hum in the sound. And then you will need a recording software that lets you convert the wave file to an mp3 so it will go in an e-mail easier.

It has been a great experience to be able to listen to so many steel players on this Forum, Thanks to Charles Tilley.
I have tried to listen to all of them , but I have a slow ISP so it takes quite a while even with MP3 an MPEG. But I enjoy listening to all of them.
The Green tab is faster load than the Blue for me on the Main page, It is all ALPHAbetical listed so easy to find. Mine on the Alpha list is "Stardust", but on lthe Blue list at the bottom of the page is "Unforgettable" , so somehow there is 2 of mine on right now.
Bernie, if you can play your LP song, and record it on an old cassette recorder with a mic. then it is wasy to plug the cassette into the line in on the computer and record your song. Or even plug a mic in the computer and play the song into the mic. That will work too. Cheap and easy. There is sure a lot of great steel players on here, and thanks to Tilley, we get to hear them....al.SmileSmile Very Happy Very Happy Razz Razz
