Tom Brumley with Ricky Nelson - Garden Party
Tom's solo is around 1:18. Be forewarned, though, the video doesn't last all the way through the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3fs2FO1zYo

...and, that time, I could see it too!!
Thanks, Jim!
I know Rick Nelson wasn't the world's greatest singer but, on balance, I'm really grateful for his unique contribution to rock and roll music. From those great records where James Burton really tore it up, to these later ones where he used one of the most distinctive pedal-steel players around, I think Nelson was really 'all about the music'. He also had some pretty cool guitars like that early Martin D-35 with the leather cover in this film.
I like him more and more....
Thanks, Jim!

the girls
Notice that the girls squeal when Tom starts the solo. Now when does that ever happen for the steel player? Thanks for the post Jim.
