Sho-Bud Super Pro f/s

Post by Skip Edwards »

I'm posting this for a good friend, who recently had a family member pass away and leave behind a really nice steel.

It's a Sho-Bud Super Pro, s/n 18630, from near the end of the production run, and possibly the most pristine SP I've ever seen. It looks like it's almost never been played...you could eat off the undercarriage. Very nice wood, big Grover tuning machines and dustcatcher fretboards.

Color is turquoise, with diamond inlay. Wood necks, original SB p/u's with tone control and bypass. It has 8 and 6, with the 6th KL working the C6 neck.

I checked it out, lubed it a little, and played it the other day...it sounds and plays really nice. The case looks as new as the day it was made.

A donation to the Forum will be sent when it sells. $2200.

Email me if interested...I can answer questions about it, and I'll put you in touch with the seller.

Hi Skip
Gorgeous guitar !
And hardly a hole to be seen underneath. Those 'Bud bodies would cost a fortune today. The serial number does put it quite late (mine is 14776) and yet it still has the big Grovers on it and the dustcatcher fret boards. There's no order in the Sho-Bud history file
A few modern changes and additions and that's one desirable horn, particularly in that colour.
Thanks for showing.
Barry

What do I have to do

Post by David Kellogg »

Man, what do I have to do, stay up all night in case something like this is listed? Guitars listed this late in the eve should be available through a drawing in the morning or something. What were you doing up in the middle of the night Eugene. Great, great timing Eugene and what a beauty you have now.
